I think all of these aren't exclusive, but want to offer different perspectives on where creativity comes from, advertising either venerates 'the insight', or it frames creativity as a kind of 'born with it' type of thing - i don't believe either are satisfactory
I really hate the “born with it” mythology and it keeps people from feeling like they can improve. You used to see this back in the day with old school CDs and sometimes it compensates for an inability to give direction. “You’ll figure it out” is another way of saying “you have it or you don’t.”
